About Me
Most of the time, I'm as astounded as anybody else that I was lucky enough to find a publishing house happy enough to publish my work. I'll let you in on a little known secret; I don't consider myself a published writer most of the time. I'm a student, who just happens to be doing a writing degree, and has actually managed to put some of that passion for writing into practice.
On the days I don't feel particularly inspired to write anything, then I really feel that too familiar tug of being a published writer. My stuff is out there now. I seem to have a certain obligation to keep more coming out there. Please check out my excerpt and WIP pages to keep up to date on the works that are currently running around the inside of my head, and hopefully making their way out onto paper.
I'm an Australian writer, living in Australia right now, even though most of my stories are published in America. I like to consider my writing less "romance" and more "dark". I like to get into the nitty gritty of what makes fiction. I like to read as much as I write, but depending on my mood and the amount of time available to me, that usually proves to be untrue.
My loves for sub-genre writing are predominantly in social realism and fantasy. Some of my favorite authors and people who have inspired me in my own writing style include: Anne Bishop, Kelley Armstrong, Francesca Lia Block and Leonard Cohen.
